The Country Cabin

Nestled in the foothills of North Carolina, The Country Cabin was established in 1982. We are a family operated business that takes great pride in friendly service and old-fashioned quality. Our cabin was built in the 1890's. After purchasing it in 1977,we tore it down piece by piece and began the original restoration project. As the shop grew over the years, we did 3 additional constructions for added space. We have truly been blessed with the best customers. We would love to add you to that list of wonderful friends!

What started as our hobbies, has grown into a full-time business of 25 years. We specialize in custom built oak or pine furniture--built especially for you. The Country Cabin is your one-stop source for all your counted cross stitch needs! We carry an extensive collection of books, fabrics, threads, beads, pillows, framing, and accessories. We also specialize in hand-woven baskets. Unique gift items are added for your gift giving!

Richard and Debbie Shook have put a lifetime of passion into their work.  Richard is a skilled craftsman, building everything from furniture to violins.  Debbie, always with a warm smile and a heartfelt welcome, is one of the area's leading experts on all things cross stitch.  We would love to meet you in person at the store!  See our contact page for directions.
